An unusual unexpected result, attending the performance of a usual, necessary act; and unexpected event which happens by chance or which does not take place according to the usual course of things. This definition is very simplified. Many pages have been written in judgments defining "Accident" if the matter is likely to become involved or complicated such definitions are readily available in jurisprudence. Generally however this definition broadly covers the interpretation of the word as given by the Courts today.
